Visit Busan Pass 2026 can save you real money — but only if your actual sightseeing plans justify the price.
The wrong way to use this pass is:
buy the pass first → add attractions just because they are included.
Do the opposite.
Choose the attractions you already want to visit, add their individual ticket prices, check whether they fit a realistic Busan route, and then compare that total with the pass price.
As checked on September 16, 2026, the current official prices are:
| Pass | Current Price | How It Works |
|---|---|---|
| BIG3 | ₩45,000 | 1 Purple + 2 Blue attractions |
| 24H | ₩55,000 | Eligible free attractions within 24 hours |
| BIG5 | ₩65,000 | 2 Purple + 3 Blue attractions |
| 48H | ₩85,000 | Eligible free attractions within 48 hours |
My short answer:
BIG3 is often the easiest pass to justify if you already have three eligible attractions in mind.
24H can be better value if several expensive attractions fit into one efficient sightseeing day.
BIG5 works well when you genuinely want five included attractions but do not want to race against a 24-hour clock.
48H makes sense only when you have two consecutive attraction-heavy days with enough ticket value to beat the higher pass price.
Prices and pass rules were rechecked on the official Visit Busan Pass pages on September 16, 2026. Attraction availability, group assignments, operating hours and reservation conditions can change.

Visit Busan Pass 2026: BIG3 vs BIG5 vs 24H vs 48H
The biggest difference is not the price.
It is what limits you.
BIG3 — Three Attractions, More Flexibility
BIG3 currently costs ₩45,000.
You choose:
- 1 attraction from Purple Group A
- 2 attractions from Blue Group B
Each attraction can be used once.
The official 2026 guidebook states that BIG3 remains valid for 180 days from the first free-attraction use.
For a normal short trip, the important point is simple:
BIG3 limits the number of attractions rather than forcing them into a 24-hour sightseeing window.
That makes it useful when your three attractions are spread across different parts of Busan or different days.
BIG5 — Five Attractions Without a 48-Hour Clock
BIG5 currently costs ₩65,000.
You choose:
- 2 Purple attractions
- 3 Blue attractions
The current official guidebook also gives BIG5 a 180-day validity period from first use.
This is useful if you know you want five attractions but would rather spread them across your stay.
24H — Time-Limited, Not Attraction-Count-Limited
The 24H pass currently costs ₩55,000.
Its 24-hour period starts when you use your first eligible free attraction.
The official example is straightforward:
If your first free attraction is used at 9:00 AM, the 24-hour benefits remain available until 8:59 AM the following day.
Each included attraction can be used once.
This can create excellent value.
But only if the attractions fit into a realistic route.
Busan is a large city.
A pass that theoretically includes many attractions is not useful if you spend half the day crossing the city.
48H — More Time, Higher Break-Even Point
The 48H version currently costs ₩85,000.
It works on the same time-based principle but gives you 48 hours from the first free attraction.
Do not buy it simply because your Busan trip lasts two days.
A two-day trip and two attraction-heavy days are not the same thing.
Beaches, markets, cafés, neighborhoods and many viewpoints do not require the pass.
The Number That Matters: Your Break-Even Value
The useful question is not:
How many attractions are included?
It is:
What would the attractions I actually want cost without the pass?
Here are several current published adult prices that are useful for comparison:
| Attraction | Current Adult Price Used in This Example |
|---|---|
| Busan X the Sky | ₩29,000 |
| Spa Land Centum City | ₩26,000 |
| Haeundae Beach Train — all-stations ticket | ₩16,000 |
| Arte Museum Busan | ₩19,000 weekday / ₩22,000 weekend & holiday |
Individual prices can change, and third-party ticket discounts may reduce the amount you would actually pay.
So always compare the pass against the ticket you would realistically buy — not just the highest published walk-up price.
If Haeundae Beach Train is already part of your pass plan, read our Haeundae Sky Capsule vs Beach Train 2026 guide before paying separately for the Sky Capsule or a Blueline Park package. It compares the current fares, route differences and package math so you can see what you actually need to buy.
Example 1: When the 24H Pass Can Be Worth It
Consider an eastern-Busan day built around these attractions:
Busan X the Sky:
₩29,000
Spa Land Centum City:
₩26,000
Haeundae Beach Train:
₩16,000
Published total:
₩71,000
Current 24H Pass:
₩55,000
Difference:
₩16,000
On published admission prices alone, the pass wins.
More importantly, this route makes geographic sense.
Busan X the Sky and Haeundae Beach Train are both in the Haeundae area, while Spa Land is in Centum City.
That is much more realistic than trying to cross repeatedly between Haeundae, Songdo, Nampo and other distant districts just to maximize the pass.
If Songdo Marine Cable Car is already on your itinerary, read our Songdo Cable Car 2026 guide before paying separately. It compares Crystal Cruise vs Air Cruise, current ticket prices, round-trip options and what to check if you are using Visit Busan Pass.
But there is another consideration:
Spa Land currently gives Visit Busan Pass users up to four hours of sauna and jjimjilbang use under the listed benefit.
If you actually want to enjoy the spa, rushing through it to squeeze in another attraction defeats the point.
Only count an attraction as “savings” if you would visit it anyway.

Example 2: Why BIG3 Can Be Easier Than 24H
BIG3 costs ₩45,000.
A possible current combination is:
Purple:
Busan X the Sky — ₩29,000
Blue:
Haeundae Beach Train — ₩16,000
Blue:
Arte Museum Busan — ₩19,000 weekday / ₩22,000 weekend
Published total:
₩64,000 weekday
or:
₩67,000 weekend / public holiday
Compared with BIG3:
₩45,000
Potential difference:
₩19,000–₩22,000
The real advantage is not only the arithmetic.
These attractions do not need to fit into one 24-hour period.
Busan X the Sky and Haeundae Beach Train can form one Haeundae day.
Arte Museum is in Yeongdo and can be visited on another day.
That is exactly the type of itinerary where a choice-based pass can be easier to use than a time-based pass.
When BIG5 Starts to Make Sense
BIG5 currently costs ₩65,000.
Suppose two Purple attractions you genuinely want are:
Busan X the Sky:
₩29,000
Spa Land Centum City:
₩26,000
That is already:
₩55,000
Now add two Blue attractions:
Haeundae Beach Train:
₩16,000
Arte Museum Busan:
₩19,000 weekday / ₩22,000 weekend
The published value of those four attractions alone becomes:
₩90,000–₩93,000
That already exceeds the BIG5 price before you use the fifth eligible attraction.
This does not mean BIG5 is automatically the best choice.
It only works if those are attractions you genuinely want and the current Purple/Blue allocation still fits your planned combination.
BIG3 or 24H: Which Should You Choose?
Choose BIG3 first if:
- exactly three attractions matter
- the attractions are spread across different parts of Busan
- you do not want to watch a 24-hour clock
- the three-ticket total comfortably exceeds ₩45,000
Choose 24H first if:
- you have one attraction-heavy sightseeing day
- the attractions are geographically close
- you can realistically visit more than three included attractions
- your ticket total clearly exceeds ₩55,000
Do not choose 24H just because it appears to include more.
Unlimited theoretical choice is irrelevant if your actual route is inefficient.
BIG5 or 48H: Which Should You Choose?
Choose BIG5 first if:
- you have five specific attractions
- those attractions are spread across several days
- flexibility matters more than speed
- the current Purple/Blue allocation works for your itinerary
Choose 48H first if:
- you have two consecutive attraction-heavy days
- you want more freedom than five fixed attractions
- the route divides naturally into geographic clusters
- your realistic ticket total clearly exceeds ₩85,000
For example:
Haeundae / Centum day:
- Busan X the Sky — ₩29,000
- Spa Land — ₩26,000
- Haeundae Beach Train — ₩16,000
Second-day attraction:
- Arte Museum Busan — ₩19,000 weekday / ₩22,000 weekend
Published total:
₩90,000–₩93,000
Current 48H Pass:
₩85,000
Potential difference:
₩5,000–₩8,000
That is positive value, but not a huge margin.
If discounted individual tickets are available, the 48H pass may no longer win.
This is why the higher-priced pass deserves more careful calculation.

Check the Attraction Group Before Buying BIG3 or BIG5
For BIG3 and BIG5, the attraction group matters as much as the attraction price.
Do not build your itinerary from:
- an old screenshot
- an old blog post
- a general attraction list saved months ago
Use the exact live BIG3 or BIG5 product page you are about to buy.
Confirm:
- The attraction is still included.
- It is still in Purple or Blue as expected.
- Your combination fits the current group limits.
- Any reservation or time-slot rules still work for your date.
If your entire break-even calculation depends on one attraction being in a particular group, check it again immediately before payment.
Physical Card or Mobile Pass in 2026?
There is an important 2026 update here.
An official February 2026 notice temporarily suspended new sales of card-type 24H, 48H, BIG3 and BIG5 products.
However, the current official Visit Busan Pass purchase pages again show both card and mobile pass purchase options.
Because the older suspension notice is still accessible while the current purchase flow shows card products again, use the live purchase screen for your travel dates as the final reference.
Mobile Pass
Current official guidance says:
- open the live QR code in the app or platform where you purchased the pass
- screenshots, printouts and PDF copies are not accepted
- the mobile pass does not have transportation-card functionality
So:
Mobile Visit Busan Pass ≠ unlimited subway and bus travel.
Plan your normal Busan transportation payment separately.
Physical Card
The official site currently describes the physical card as a rechargeable transportation card.
That does not mean free unlimited public transportation.
You add transportation value separately and use the card for subway and bus fares.
If you do not specifically need that physical-card function, the mobile version may be simpler because there is no pickup step.

Is the Visit Busan Pass Only for Foreign Visitors?
Yes.
The official Visit Busan Pass platform describes the service as being exclusively for foreigners.
Current BIG pass product information also states that Korean citizens cannot use the pass.
If your nationality or eligibility situation is unusual, check the current official terms before purchasing.
What About the 2026 Re-visit Busan Promotion?
A temporary promotion is currently running, but do not treat it as part of the normal pass value.
As checked in September 2026, Klook lists a Re-visit Busan promotion scheduled through October 31, 2026, subject to early closure and eligibility conditions.
The listed Busan Pay rewards are:
- ₩10,000 for eligible 24H or BIG3 users
- ₩20,000 for eligible 48H or BIG5 users
The promotion is not a simple discount for everyone.
Eligibility and application conditions apply, and approved participation can affect cancellation or refund rights.
Therefore:
Do not subtract the promotional reward from your pass price unless you have confirmed that you personally qualify and the promotion is still available.
For a normal break-even calculation, use the standard pass price first.
Who Should Skip the Visit Busan Pass?
Skip the pass if:
- you mainly want beaches, neighborhoods and markets
- you plan only one paid attraction
- your real ticket total stays below the pass price
- you dislike packing several attractions into a short window
- you are adding attractions only because the pass includes them
- discounted individual tickets are cheaper for your dates
A very good Busan itinerary can include:
- Haeundae Beach
- Gwangalli
- markets
- cafés
- temples
- neighborhoods
- free viewpoints
without requiring a tourist pass.
A busy itinerary is not automatically an expensive-attraction itinerary.
Where You Stay Changes the Calculation
Your hotel location affects how useful the pass feels.
If you are staying in Haeundae, an eastern-Busan attraction day becomes much easier.

If KTX logistics or western/central Busan matter more, compare our Best Hotels Near Busan Station 2026 guide.
And if you are arriving from Seoul, our Seoul to Busan KTX 2026 guide covers the train-booking decision before you reach Busan.
Do not build a pass itinerary that ignores where you are sleeping.
How I Would Choose in 60 Seconds
Choose BIG3 if:
You have three definite eligible attractions, their ticket value comfortably exceeds ₩45,000, and you want flexibility.
Choose 24H if:
You have one geographically compact sightseeing day worth more than ₩55,000.
Choose BIG5 if:
You have five real attractions spread across your trip and the current Purple/Blue allocation works.
Choose 48H if:
You have two consecutive attraction-heavy days and enough ticket value to comfortably exceed ₩85,000.
Skip the pass if:
You are changing your itinerary just to make the pass look worthwhile.
That is not saving money.
Final Verdict: Is the Visit Busan Pass Worth It in 2026?
Yes — for the right itinerary.
The Visit Busan Pass works best when the attractions you already want to visit cost more than the pass before you start rearranging your trip around it.
For many travelers, BIG3 is the easiest place to start.
The price is relatively low, and three attractions can be spread across different days.
The 24H pass can create stronger value when several expensive attractions fit naturally into one compact day.
The BIG5 pass makes sense when you have five genuine attractions and want more flexibility.
The 48H pass requires the most discipline because its higher price means the break-even margin can disappear quickly if one planned attraction gets dropped or a cheaper individual ticket is available.
Before paying:
choose your attractions → check their current group → add the individual ticket prices → check the route → compare the live pass price → then buy only if the numbers still work.
